Subject	How to properly remove wheels studs?

Message	I didn't think it'd be wise to hammer out the studs with a mini-sledge. It seems like this would shock/impact the wheel bearings in a way that they would not appreciate. Does anyone have any other method? I don't know that a c-clamp would be safe either. Does anyone know if a pneumatic hammer would work? It'd seem like a small chance of hurting the wheel bearing.
